Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? after 6 years as a line cook

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I do not want to be late. What do you use?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.
