Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? after 5 years as a security officer

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a security officer. Thank you in advance. I do not want to be late. Are there discounted passes?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
