Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? after 16 years as a sales associate

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
