Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? after 15 years as a line cook

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. Any experience at all would help. I do not want to be late. What do you use?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
