Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews?

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I worked as a payroll clerk before this. Some employers are off the main lines. Are there discounted passes?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
