Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews?, administrative assistant here

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as an administrative assistant. I can walk part of the way.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
