Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - 9 months and counting

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a retail manager. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I do not want to be late. Are there discounted passes?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.
