Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - 8 months and counting

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I can walk part of the way. Any rideshare programmes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
