Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - 7 months and counting

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I can walk part of the way. What do you use?

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.

Our transit agency has a reduced-fare pass for people with low income. The application took a week.
