Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - 3 months and counting

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a forklift operator. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I can walk part of the way. Are there discounted passes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
