Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews? - 14 months and counting

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a teaching assistant. It has been a long 16 weeks. Some employers are off the main lines. What do you use?

If you can, schedule interviews back to back in the same area to save fares.
