Does anyone have tips for local transport to interviews?

The bus takes almost an hour to reach the places hiring as a mechanic. Thank you in advance. I can walk part of the way. What do you use?

I planned routes the night before with a trip planner and left twenty minutes early.

Some workforce centres hand out bus tokens for interviews. Ask at the desk.
