Dealing with the isolation of unemployment (update)

I am trying to look after my mental health while I search. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I do not want to pretend I am fine. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 7 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I told two friends how I really felt. It was uncomfortable, but it made things lighter.
