Dealing with the isolation of unemployment (update)

I am trying to look after my mental health while I search. There are 18 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some days I feel numb. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
