Dealing with the isolation of unemployment (update)

I miss my old team and the routine that came with being an IT help-desk technician. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Some days I feel numb. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
