Dealing with the isolation of unemployment (Portland)

Being out of work for 9 months has worn me down more than I expected. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I do not want to pretend I am fine. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
