Dealing with the isolation of unemployment - any advice?

I am trying to look after my mental health while I search. I worked as a software tester before this. I do not want to pretend I am fine. What helps you?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
