Dealing with the isolation of unemployment - any advice?

Being out of work for 10 months has worn me down more than I expected. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Some days I feel numb. How do you ask friends for support?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
