Dealing with the isolation of unemployment - any advice?

I miss my old team and the routine that came with being a forklift operator. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. Some days I feel numb. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
