Daily structure while out of work, IT help-desk technician here

Since my layoff as an IT help-desk technician I have no real structure. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. What helps you switch off?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I use one day for networking, one for applications and one for learning something. Variety helps.
