Daily structure while out of work - any advice?

Since my layoff as a teaching assistant I have no real structure. I worked as a teaching assistant before this. I tried blocking out hours for applications but I lose steam by noon. What does your day look like?

I use one day for networking, one for applications and one for learning something. Variety helps.
