Childcare while job hunting, what worked? - what worked for you?

I have 11 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. It has been a long 9 weeks. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long.

Our county's childcare assistance took about 9 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
