Childcare while job hunting, what worked? (Kansas City)

My hours will change when I find a job and childcare is my biggest worry. It has been weighing on me all week. I am willing to trade favours. What worked for you?

Libraries and community centres run free activities that gave me a couple of hours.

Ask the school about after-school programmes. Some are free or based on income.
