Childcare while job hunting, what worked?

Aditi Kowalski · 2026-07-02T04:05:32.958Z

The daycare near me wants more than I can pay. There are 3 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. Is there an emergency option?

Our county's childcare assistance took about 2 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.
