Childcare while job hunting, what worked?

I have 13 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. It has been a long 8 weeks. A neighbour offered help but not every day. What worked for you?

Our county's childcare assistance took about 8 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.

I swapped afternoons with another parent. It took some planning and saved us both money.
