Childcare while job hunting, what worked? - any advice?

The daycare near me wants more than I can pay. I have been trying to stay organised about it. A neighbour offered help but not every day.

Ask the school about after-school programmes. Some are free or based on income.

I swapped afternoons with another parent. It took some planning and saved us both money.
