Childcare while job hunting, what worked? after 9 years as a janitorial supervisor

My hours will change when I find a job and childcare is my biggest worry. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long.

Our county's childcare assistance took about 25 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.
