Childcare while job hunting, what worked? after 8 years as a recruiter

I have 8 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. Any experience at all would help. A neighbour offered help but not every day. Is there an emergency option?

Ask the school about after-school programmes. Some are free or based on income.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
