Childcare while job hunting, what worked? after 7 years as a school bus driver

My hours will change when I find a job and childcare is my biggest worry. I am in Charlotte, in case local advice matters. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. What worked for you?

Ask the school about after-school programmes. Some are free or based on income.
