Childcare while job hunting, what worked? after 4 years as a security officer

I have 4 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. Any experience at all would help. I am willing to trade favours. How long did subsidies take?

I swapped afternoons with another parent. It took some planning and saved us both money.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
