Childcare while job hunting, what worked? after 11 years as an HR coordinator

My hours will change when I find a job and childcare is my biggest worry. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I am willing to trade favours. What worked for you?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
