Childcare while job hunting, what worked? after 11 years as a bookkeeper

I have 11 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. I worked as a bookkeeper before this. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. Is there an emergency option?

Libraries and community centres run free activities that gave me a couple of hours.

Our county's childcare assistance took about 7 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.
