Childcare while job hunting, what worked? - 4 weeks in

I have 3 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. Any experience at all would help. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. What worked for you?

Libraries and community centres run free activities that gave me a couple of hours.

I swapped afternoons with another parent. It took some planning and saved us both money.
