Childcare while job hunting, what worked? - 3 months and counting

I have 5 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am willing to trade favours. What worked for you?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
