Childcare while job hunting, what worked?

I have 14 kids and I need to interview and work without a sitter. This is my first time dealing with any of this. A neighbour offered help but not every day. What worked for you?

Our county's childcare assistance took about 14 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.
