Childcare while job hunting, what worked? - 24 weeks in

My hours will change when I find a job and childcare is my biggest worry. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I looked into subsidies but the forms are long. How long did subsidies take?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
