Childcare while job hunting, what worked? - 10 weeks in

Mateo Okafor · 2026-06-20T01:20:07.565Z

The daycare near me wants more than I can pay. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am willing to trade favours. What worked for you?

Our county's childcare assistance took about 10 weeks to approve, but it covered most of the cost.
