Childcare while job hunting, what worked?

My hours will change when I find a job and childcare is my biggest worry. It has been a long 23 weeks. A neighbour offered help but not every day. What worked for you?

Ask the school about after-school programmes. Some are free or based on income.

Libraries and community centres run free activities that gave me a couple of hours.
