Budgeting tips when income drops - what worked for you?

My income is now a fraction of what it was as a hotel front-desk agent and I am trying to cover the essentials. I am in Birmingham, in case local advice matters. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions.

I called each lender and asked for a hardship plan. Two agreed to lower payments for a few months.
