Budgeting tips when income drops - what worked for you?

I am $850 short each month and trying to find it. The rent is fixed and the car payment is high. Any apps or methods?

Sell things you do not use. I made about $850 from a weekend of listing.

I called each lender and asked for a hardship plan. Two agreed to lower payments for a few months.
