Budgeting tips when income drops - any advice?

We are a household of 8 and the budget no longer works. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. What helped you?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
