Budgeting tips when income drops - any advice?

We are a household of 9 and the budget no longer works. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. What helped you?

A paper list of bills by due date helped me more than an app. I could see the month at a glance.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
