Budgeting tips when income drops - any advice?

We are a household of 7 and the budget no longer works. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The rent is fixed and the car payment is high. Any apps or methods?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Check for energy assistance programmes. I got a credit that covered two bills.
