Best tools for tracking applications? after 4 years as a home health aide

I am tracking my applications in a notebook and want something better. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I want reminders to follow up. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
