Best tools for tracking applications? after 18 years as a recruiter

I need a résumé template that passes automated screening. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I do not want to pay for premium features. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
