Best tools for tracking applications? after 16 years as a pharmacy technician

I am looking for free tools that do not spam me. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. A spreadsheet with dates and follow-ups worked a little. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Use a plain one-column résumé with standard headings. Mine got more replies after I simplified it.
