Best tools for tracking applications?

I need a résumé template that passes automated screening. I worked as a teaching assistant before this. I do not want to pay for premium features. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
