Affordable home internet for job applications - what worked for you?

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some applications need a computer.

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.

Ask your internet provider about their low-income plan. They rarely advertise it.
