I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. I worked as a customer-service rep before this. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What did you switch to?

Keep the number you use for job applications, even if you change plans. Employers will call it.

Ask your internet provider about their low-income plan. They rarely advertise it.
