Affordable home internet for job applications (Salt Lake City)

I use my phone as my only connection. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some applications need a computer. What else should I consider?

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
